Nucala

Nucala is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of Severe Asthma, Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (Churg-Strauss Syndrome), and Hypereosinophilic Syndrome. Nucala may be used alone or with other medications.

Nucala belongs to a class of drugs called Interleukin Inhibitors; Monoclonal Antibodies, and Anti-asthmatics.

Nucala Side Effects

The most common side effects include: 

  • headache,
  • discoloration of the skin,
  • skin irritation at the injection site (blistering, burning, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, redness, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, and warmth),
  • back pain,
  • bladder pain,
  • bloody or cloudy urine,
  • chills,
  • diarrhea,
  • painful urination,
  • fever,
  • frequent urge to urinate,
  • a general feeling of discomfort or illness,
  • joint pain,
  • loss of appetite,
  • muscle aches or spasms,
  • nausea,
  • runny nose,
  • shivering,
  • skin rash,
  • sore throat,
  • sweating,
  • trouble sleeping,
  • vomiting, and
  • upper abdominal pain
