Renflexis

Renflexis is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Plaque Psoriasis, Crohn Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and Ankylosing Spondylitis. Renflexis may be used alone or with other medications.

Renflexis belongs to a class of drugs called Antipsoriatics, Systemic; DMARDs, TNF Inhibitors; Immunosuppressants; Monoclonal Antibodies; Inflammatory Bowel Disease Agents.

Infliximab-abda, the active ingredient in RENFLEXIS, is a chimeric IgG1τ monoclonal antibody (composed of human constant and murine variable regions) specific for human tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα). It has a molecular weight of approximately 149.1 kilodaltons. Infliximab-abda is produced by a recombinant cell line cultured and is purified by a series of steps that includes measures to inactivate and remove viruses.

100 mg vial: 100 mg lyophilized infliximab-abda in a 20 mL vial for injection, for intravenous use.

Renflexis Side Effects

The most common side effects include: 

  • stuffy nose,
  • sinus pain,
  • fever,
  • chills,
  • sore throat,
  • cough,
  • chest pain,
  • shortness of cough,
  • high or low blood pressure,
  • headache,
  • lightheadedness,
  • rash,
  • itching, and
  • stomach pain
